Introduction

A member of the "Châteaux et Hôtels de France" for a number of years, the Manoir du Grand Vignoble near Bergerac in the Périgord region is a hall built in the XVIIth century which has been renovated and extended little by little into a charming hotel and restaurant.

The hotel has 44 rooms and suites. Decorated in a country-house, traditional or modern style the are all spacious and open onto the nearby woodland. The restaurant offers a style of cooking which relates to the word Périgord, generous and mouth-watering based on regional produce with some innovation also. It can be enjoyed either in the winter garden under the high beamed ceilings of the reception rooms or under shelter in the garden.

The peaceful 45 ha estate also hosts a well-known equestrian centre where adults and children, beginners and advanced riders, enjoying practice or nature rides can find the activity and the horse to suit their needs.

You will also find on site a heated swimming-pool, a tennis court, a fitness room with sauna and Jacuzzi and since this year a small golf range. Conference and function rooms all adding up to create a unique place to unwind and relax in this part of the Périgord region called Purple Périgord to remind us the colour of the vine in autumn and the colour of the local wines.

Further activities are on offer such as walks, excursions on-site ( walks or bike rides ) nearby ( Bergerac and the river Dordogne, visit to wine and foie gras producers ) or up to Sarlat ( through an area full of castles and prehistoric sites ) and Saint Emilion ( medieval city surrounded by some of the most famous wine-producing estates in the world.
